® Special tools: Trigger dwell
A thirty-five-part series

This box had a dwell meter and an ignition coil from a CB77 inside it. Yes, for a few minutes the set of points being adjusted had two ignition coils attached, but the extra current didn't hurt them.


A copy of the unit developed in the 1970s by Action Fours in Santa Ana, California, I built this tool and used it many times in the dealership. With just obe connection, both sides of an SOHC four ignition could be dwelled and timed. I made the mistake of loaning it out.
