Although it is a bit of a chore to properly adjust the GL1000 clutch--just getting the cover off is a challenge--it is very doable. To streamline the procedure use a screwdriver shortened way down so it will fit between the frame and the clutch.

The 10mm wrench is for getting the cover off, the two 12mm wrenches for adjusting the cable. One of the 12mm wrenches plus the seriously modified screwdriver are needed to adjust the pressure plate.
