® Specialized carburetor screwdriver

The long, skinny screwdriver shown here is a specialty item made by Snap-On. This nice little tool is probably close to fifty years old. I am pretty sure I was a fairly new mechanic when I purchsed it new. It is extremely lightweight, even delicate, for a screwdriver, and long and narrow. Most interesting of all, note the square-shaped handle. That handle is designed to make it easier to count the turns, as you would do on a carburetor pilot (idle mixture) screw. And did you catch the indented shape on the end of the handle? You might naturally put your index finger there. I still use this screwdriver today on vintage Hondas carburetors. Sometimes finesse is the name of the game.
