bike olson

Got a VF500F in not long ago. Ran poorly, had numerous other issues. I think the bike had been a race bike at one time, then re-street-ified. Lot of damage from sliding and banging. Needed carb rebuild as well as valve adjust. Found one cam out of time also. Engine was extremely noisy also. Was able to locate a pair of cam chain tensioners (came out of Italy). Quieted it right down.
Coolant leaks, oil leaks, noisy, lurchy, loose steering bearings, bent parts, all kinds of problems. Lot of silicone sealer on valve cover gaskets. Lot of black silicone sealer on valve cover gaskets. Collected for posterity. :-)
Ham-fisted signs on carbs' pilot screws. Strraightened exhaust mounts and footpeg brackets. Put on new rubber, Michelin Pilots.
More. New brake discs, too.
