A 1977 K model 750. Came in mostly for poor running. Found the carbs badly mistreated by a recent shop visit. They actually blocked off the bowl vents! And then charged him to replace the carbs with a completely different set! Crap aftermarket points. What do you think? Was the drive chain adjusted even once since the bike was new? Even in the recent shop visit?
Cylinder compression came up a bit after the valve adjustment (which the bike supposedly had just had done). Frayed throttle cable. Fork seals were leaking. Check out the mung inside the fork slider. Fork seals replaced. Brake caliper piston corrosion. Replaced.
Just before the customer picked up the bike I put about 40 miles on it and decided to snug up the steering bearings a touch. He was very happy.
