® The Seven Deadly Sins of Custom Bike Building
Or, How to Not Approach High Performance Vehicles
with Low Performance Thinking

This is a series of articles summarizing observations I have made relative to what folks do to bikes in the name of customizing that ought not to be done. I'm not altogether against modifying motorcycles, far from it in fact. I only call for an approach that at least starts with what is known to be good practice. Sure, this is just my opinion, and I realize that at the end of the day much of what we do to our rides is in the way of just keeping them running, about which I got a reminder just this morning when the battery in mine gave out with no warning. So consider this a treatment on best practices, if nothing else. I think you'll find much here that is food for thought. Enjoy.
