These are the answers to the MMI hiring quiz. The quiz is found here.

  1. Carburetor bypass or transfer ports are tiny holes residing directly underneath the throttle that make up the transition circuit between idle and the next circuit. They are fed and controlled by the idle circuit.
  2. In series.
  3. With the keyswitch on and all power available, and the meter set for DC Volts, use the meter's probes to straddle the entire field coil circuit, then systematically narrow the probes' test range by moving them closer and closer together, until the fault is found.
  4. Ignition.
  5. It will add to the trapped air's pressure progression rate on fork compression, firming up compression action.
  6. Source coil, trigger coil, ignition coil, CDI box, stop switch, spark plug.
  7. First gear.
  8. The 60o cutter.
  9. A freewheeling gear.
  10. The engine will rev only to about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle.
