Notes:
1. This table starts at 1975 because prior to that Honda used a different starting system, headlight system and fewer fuses. It includes only inline fours because the company's twins, opposed fours and V4s all use a different type of alternator. The CBX, an inline six, is however nearly identical to this table, saving that the pulsers are wired a little differently, due to a different firing order, and of course there is one more pulser, a pink wire.

2. Honda's colors for switched power (black) and for ground (green) are opposite most other company's.

3. Honda has from the beginning, and even more so in later years, relied on very few physical grounds, preferring instead component ground loops back into the wire harness for a central ground on the frame. A very good practice which the other manufacturers did not start until quite recently.

4. The second black out of the regulator/rectifier has been omitted because the two are of equal potential, that is, both are switched battery voltage.
